AsiaWorld-Expo|CON-CON HONG KONG 2026

Description

"CON-CON HONG KONG 2026" is Hong Kong's first locally curated, Asian cross-border IP trend culture festival rooted in the city's cultural DNA. It will make its grand debut at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong on April 4-5, 2026. This two-day, all-encompassing cultural event featuring IP culture, a music festival, and a black box theater is set to spark a ticket-grabbing frenzy among fans across Hong Kong and the globe.

In Hong Kong, Mix and Match is not just a style choice but a city spirit. The intersection of Eastern and Western cultures, the coexistence of tradition and modernity, and the symbiosis of diverse values have endowed Hong Kong with a unique creative edge and cultural DNA.

CON-CON HONG KONG 2026 embodies this original Hong Kong spirit by bringing together local, Asian, and international IP and creative entities from various fields, including trend toys, anime, music, fashion, art, and design. Through cross-border collaborations and in-depth exchanges, it fosters cultural dialogue, sparks new creative possibilities, and forges influential connections and outcomes among IPs. This novel platform for IP interaction and cross-sector collaboration propels Hong Kong's originality onto the Asian and international stage, showcasing its unique value in trend culture and the creative industry.

CON-CON: Convention for Connection, an Annual Extravaganza for IP Exchange

CON-CON signifies Convention for Connection, a cultural celebration with "connection" at its core. It brings together creators and IPs, brands and audiences, trends and culture, Hong Kong and the world. More than just an anime expo, music festival, or brand exhibition, CON-CON unites diverse cultures, creative fields, and industrial forces on one platform. As one of Asia's most ambitious annual cross-border cultural events, CON-CON aims to place pop culture, ACG culture, renowned IPs, and brands under one roof, facilitating interactive exchanges among outstanding creators and their works across different domains. It aspires to be a pivotal engine driving IP internationalization and creative breakthroughs.

MEDIALINK GROUP's Dedication: Bringing Culture to Life

The inaugural CON-CON HONG KONG 2026 is wholly organized by MEDIALINK GROUP and driven by its subsidiary, CON-CON (HK) Limited. Headquartered in Hong Kong with a presence across Greater China, Japan, and Southeast Asia, MEDIALINK GROUP has been rooted in Hong Kong for over three decades, amassing more than 1,000 pop culture and anime IPs. It is a key player in Asia's IP content distribution, brand licensing, and physical entertainment rights. From merchandise licensing and large-scale physical events to digital platforms, MEDIALINK GROUP has always been at the forefront of the IP industry. Its 11 YouTube channels, including Ani-One, boast over 10 million cumulative subscribers, influencing multiple generations.

Now, they are channeling their years of experience and resources into a physical stage: CON-CON.

Two Days of Immersive Cultural Offerings: IP Culture × Music Festival × Black Box Theater

During the two-day event, CON-CON HONG KONG 2026 will present a high-density, cross-form cultural program, including:

  • Multiple heavyweight Japanese IPs collaborating with international brands
  • Venue-exclusive IP experience zones
  • Participation of Hong Kong IPs showcasing the city's boundless creativity
  • A grand music festival featuring Hong Kong and Japanese singers
  • Global premiere of anime series and fan meetings
  • Limited-edition IP collaboration merchandise
  • Zone dedicated to the new generation of Hong Kong IP creators
  • Industry talks and sharing sessions
  • Press conferences and new product launch events

A special black box theater will be set up for in-depth exchanges between creators, industry professionals, and core fans. Attendees will be immersed in the latest trends of Asian pop culture through trend toys, music, art, anime, games, fashion, lifestyle, sports, cuisine, and experiential activities.

Creative Director: COIN PARKING DELIVERY Defines the Visual and Attitude for CON-CON

To uphold the principle of promoting cultural exchange and creative interplay, the event has invited renowned international artist COIN PARKING DELIVERY to serve as its creative director. Known for infusing vitality into collaborations between their own creations and well-known IPs, COIN PARKING DELIVERY's work spans various sectors, including anime, beauty, watches, sports, apparel, trend toys, and K-Pop. This vision aligns seamlessly with that of "CON-CON". In this edition of CON-CON HONG KONG, COIN PARKING DELIVERY will offer a fresh interpretation of the brand concept and on-site experience, establishing a distinct and attitude-driven visual language for the event.

Asian Music Extravaganza: Non-Stop Performances by Hong Kong and Japanese Artists

During the event, popular J-POP singers and legendary anime theme song artists and bands will join forces with Hong Kong's new-generation pop music singers for a two-day concert extravaganza, transforming musical culture into a vibrant energy. More IPs, singers, and global trend brands participating in "CON-CON HONG KONG 2026" will be announced later, so stay tuned to the official social media platforms for updates.
