billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$31.29 billion, or 15.05% of the market's
turnover. There were 816 short-selling stocks. BYD COMPANY (01211) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.58 billion and HK$1.58
billion, or 5.05% and 5.04% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 28.74% and 15.57% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.14 billion and HK$952.8 million of
short sales, accounting for 3.63% and 3.05% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 18.06% and 26.29% of respective stock's turnover.
BYD COMPANY closed up HK$5.2, or 4.95%, to HK$110.3. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.2, or
0.76%, to HK$25.96. BABA-W fell HK$2.3, or 1.83% to HK$123.2. XIAOMI-W declined by
HK$0.24, or 0.78%, to HK$30.66.
